After hearing about the Water and Spirit Bible study our church ordered the teachers manual and booklets. In late January of this year, I decided to use the Bible study with a coworker, Susan as she and I had engaged in a Bible study for several months prior to this. After concluding the Water and Spirit Bible study with Susan, she made the life changing decision to enter into a covenant partnership with Jesus by being baptized in Jesus name.
A few weeks later during COVID19, another co-worker, Raquel, joined Susan, two other ladies and I in our virtual Bible study via an online video conference call. Raquel embraced the gospel message and decided to be baptized in Jesus name.
A couple of weeks later, prior to Pentecost Sunday, I retaught the Water and Spirit Bible study to Raquel via online video conference call (she was the only one that could make it for the lesson that day). After the lesson, I asked Raquel if she wanted to receive the Holy Ghost. She responded, “yes, it’s for me”.
Before we prayed, I explained what would happen as she prayed. We began
praying together. A few moments later, I checked in with Raquel to see if she felt the presence of God, she said yes. I then told Raquel that we would continue to pray, however, this time, I told her to lift up her face and hands and expect to begin speaking in tongues as she worshiped God.
Raquel lifted up her face, lifted up her hands and began to worship God again. Almost immediately, Raquel’s countenance changed, and she began to speak in a heavenly language. God met with Raquel and I in a special way during our virtual time of prayer via (video conference).
Raquel confirmed that she felt God’s presence and that she had spoken in tongues. Before ending we worshipped God more. This time Raquel worshiped fervently in spirit and in truth!
